New hair cut & a day after that

Dear Anak,

After almost a year from your first haircut (December 25, 2007) , you had your second haircut last
November 17,2008(Monday) and unlike before, you were behaved now. Matured maybe? Hehehe. You were like a true gentleman — ever behaved and followed what the barber told you: Don’t moved or flip your head to the right or to the left if he says so.

You even started a conversation with the barber. And as usual, he was amazed with you. Who wouldn’t be? If a 26-year old barber is being entertained by a 2-year old customer? Hahahah! You told him we would watch Madacascar 2 after your hair cut –which I’m sorry to tell we were not able to do it because its already late in the afternoon and that means heavy traffic already. We would have moved it again yesterday (Tuesday) but didn’t pursue (AGAIN! sorry po!) because we have to monitor the repairs made in the apartment since no one else will do it because Dad is on a 3 day seminar-workshop.

Anyway, back to the haircut session, the only time you moved was when the shaver was on the lower part of the head (in bisaya, Tingkoy) when you were asked to flip down your head and you were tickled. Ahah! Kiliti pala dyan huh? hehehe..

The rest was okay. Oh I should tell you that I told the barber not to put too much powder on your neck and back because you are not used to it. Did you know that I only used baby powder twice maybe thrice when you were a baby? It was dad who discovered that when you had powder and you sweat after few hours, the smell is not good. So I gave your baby pressed and powder to Ate N instead. The pressed was slightly used, really. I think I used it once only. And the powder almost new. Good that I didn’t buy a bigger size powder then.

I called daddy while you were having your haircut session and he asked if I collected your hair after the cut. I said not anymore since the small brown (tickler size) envelope was almost full of your hair from the first haircut. Well, I just realized now that I should have kept your hair this time because its the first time that you had your haircut inside a military camp. The name is Blue Marline Barber Shop Fully Airconditioned. Hehehe. Just for the record. Who knows, it would still be there when you’re the one wearing a uniform already. Or will you? Let’s see…

As I am writing this, it is a fine sunny day. November 19, 2008 (Wednesday)– we woke up early and left daddy who is still having fever after suffering from LBM yesterday. I guess he was food poisoned. I am not just sure though. I hope he will feel better now. He requested that I cooked food for dinner but he was not able to eat it because he was so tired already and just sleep when he arrived.

We both headed to the bences under the Duhat Tree. This tree where I used to seat when I was still pregnant with you and when this tree was warmer because it was not yet trimmed. But it’s okay, atleast it stands still and the benches too, now its painted with green. Before it doesn’t have a paint — just the original color brown. From our point o view, we could see some men having their morning exercise. What a nice way to start our day. I told you to imitate them but
you said
” Ayoko. Ang dami nila”. Hehehe. Now you are shy. I thought you could perform an exercise to anyone which you usually does with the JO’s here. You would pushed up and do stretching and you would invite them to join you aHahahah!! I will write a separate post on that. Your adventures with KUya Argee and Kuya Jasper.:)

When the men left to run and swim, we went to the gangway and talked with Kuya Raymond. You said your goodmorning to him and he was happy to saw you smile. He said ” Ang ganda ng ngiti mo ah. Wag ka kumain ng candy para di masira ang ngipin ha”. Defintely! Definitely! We have taken care of your health and so with your teeth for more than 2 years now and we will continue to do so. This is healthy and happy living!

I went inside the room to get the laptop and booked someone who needs to fly today. Then, we saw some officers and ever Sir Dabong who gave you a new name. That is another story. I am excited to share it soon. Meantime, let’s enjoy the day! mWah!!!

Lovelots,
Mommy
