I’m sorry

Dear Anak,

I’m sorry for not sticking on our schedule recently. I have been pre occupied with so many things. I’m sorry too for sometimes I can’t help but get easily irritated when you interrupt me every time I am in the middle of my busy-ness. It dawned on me that everytime you act like that, it means you need attention– my full attention– and that I must be aware and enjoy your childhood for it only comes once.

Everytime you noticed my anger, you would easily say “I’m Sorry Mommy. Di ko na po yun ulitin”. And that makes me like a melted candle and hugged you and say “it’s okay son. I’m teaching you now while you are young so when you grow up, you will be a responsible citizen”. And you would reply “Opo Mommy”.

You know what made me write this ? Because I just watched a very beautiful video about a father and a son. The father is already gray haired and the son is around 40’s. They were both seated on the bench outside their house and the father asked the son “what was that?” after he heard the sound of the sparrow. The son answered “it’s a sparrow”, but when the father asked again for the 3rd time, the son lost his temper and shouted back at his father “I already said its a sparrow!!”. Then the father stood up, went inside the house and when he came back, he brought with him a small notebook. He handed it to his son and told his son to read it aloud. It says something like ” today, my son turned 3. We were at the park when he asked me “what is that? and i said “a sparrow”. He asked me that same question for 21 times and I never got tired of answering him 21 times. I even hugged him every time I answered.”

I almost cried after viewing it. I felt guilty for being hot tempered sometimes. From now on, I will only ENJOY and MAXIMIZE my time with you. Your questions I will now listen with full attention and treat each moment with you a blessing that not all mothers could have. I am so proud having a son like you. And thank you for learning first time obedience, even if it’s a bit difficult to really instill it in you, but I will never get tired of teaching you until you will fully learn.

We went to the BIR office the other day and today and you surprised me again when as soon as we got inside the building, you headed to the lounge and looked for a vacant seat. You were able to find one and joined the rest of the people in watching TV. When you came to me, I asked what was the show all about and why the people were laughing. You said ” Mr. Bean po mommy”. I’m shocked that even you know Mr Bean! How come? hahaha… And a lady in front of me said ” Anak mo yan? Ilang taon? Behave sya masyado no?”. She made that comment after she saw you just sitting there and waiting for me.

It’s a joy to hear compliments like that. Keep up the good work my dear.

I love you so much!

More questions from you

Dear Anak,

I forgot to write here than we were on our way to the airport the other day when out of the blue, you just asked me “Mommy, bakit tumatakbo ang jeep?. I said “kasi may makina sya. yun nagpapatakbo sa kanya”. And then I added “tanong mo kay daddy pag nag usap kayo” hahahaha

Di kinaya ng powers ko ang tanong mo. When I relayed it to dad, he said I should explain the combustion engine theory so you will understand. I thought to myself, waaahhhaaattt?? hahaha. Better, dad will explain to you soon.

Last night, before going to sleep, we called daddy and you made us laugh when you were singing “magsakay kami ng eroplano. Magpunta kami sa airport. Lagi na lang ganito ang buhay natin….” then continued singing the Tayong Dalaw lyrics hahahaha.. You’ve mixed it up boy! WAAHHH!! By the way, we already bought some gifts for Christmas yesterday. It’s so nice to look at it now under the tree. And for the record, finally, you were able to try SM’s train after few failed attempts on our past visits due to mechanical problems. It was a great date yesterday! Thank you for behaving and participating.

And yesterday too, you were able to answer MAZES in your activity book. You were so hooked in it that I decided to brought you a book on mazes which was on sale at NBC. Great to see your answers. Way to go!

Today (Sep 15 2009) you got sick. I don’t know why. Lolo B brought some tawa-tawa for you to drink. I hope you will feel better soon. Get well soon dear.

Love,
Mommy

Never say never…

Hi Anak!

We went to BIR office along Torres last Friday, Sep 11, 2009. We were in a hurry since it was past 4pm already. We took the tricycle that could squeeze in 10 or 12 passengers. I remember that same kind of tricycle which we usually took when my grandmother would bring me to Agdao in the 80’s. Anyway, back to our travel, it was just a minute or less travel to BIR office from the tricycle terminal. When we arrived at our destination, you made another smart surprise when you looked at the tricycle and asked me with amazement and seriousness in your eyes: ” Ay, mommy tricycle po pala yung sinakyan natin? Ginawa man nilang jeep!”. You made me laugh out loud. Your are very observant, very much like dad. Good job my dear little angel. Keep your observations coming and I’ll just be right here listening and ready to burst into laughter when needed. Hehehe…

And why is the title of the post never say never? Because when I made this post, we just finished viewing the speech of Michael Jordan after he was included in the Basketball’s Hall of Fame. And I just like what he said ” “One day you might look up and see me playing a game at 50,” he said. “Don’t laugh. Never say never, because limits, like fears, are often just an illusion.”

Again, Never say never, because limits, like fears, are often just an illusion. May you remember that when the time comes when you feel doubt or discourage. :)

Oh, today, September 13 2009 I also discovered the first homeschool in the Philippines since 1999. I am so excited that things are getting clearer and more precise now. Thanks God for this discovery. The school’s name is The Master’s Academy. And I learned that it’s okay to homeschool on our own without getting a curriculum (of course I have to make sure that you will learn the basics and the equivalent lessons for your stage) and then just take a PVT or Philippine Validation Test to see what level you will qualify once we decided to put you on a regular school later. It’s liberating indeed to know that there is nothing wrong with the lessons and information that I am currently teaching you.

Speaking of lessons, you just love to study the solar system recently. Earth and all there is are you latest lessons. But of course your all time favorite Airplanes and Trains are always part of our daily activities. We also had a kitchen time today. I brought you to the kitchen and cooked tinolang isda (maliliit na moro-moro or in tagalog galonggong). We had malunggay, kamatis and sibuyas dahon with it and a teaspoon of salt. Yummy lunch for a beautiful Sunday!

Back to Michael Jordan, here is the video of his talk that we both watched.

Love you my dear!

Train up ac hild….

Dear Anak,

For one week now, we are on “training” again. I noticed that the Baby Wise learning you had when you were younger (infant to 1yr old) is slowly fading. Not that you’re becoming really “pasaway”, but it’s in the bible that a child can be foolish, if not trained. Now, I am not saying you are one but Daddy and I agreed that the best inheritance we can passed on to you is building your character. And the best time to start is now, while you are still young and your heart is still very much open for instructions and corrections as well.

Our first lessons for the week were: saying po and opo at all times, saying please and thank you when asking favor and after favor was granted, and of course, first time obedience. You got a couple (if not a lot) of spanking from me in order to learn these things though. Good news is that you are learning fast. Thanks God!

There will be more lessons to come my dear and I will never stop until you learn these things by heart. It is our desire to bring you up the way God wanted you to be. You must fulfill your destiny and in return, it is our commitment to raise you the Godly way. With the Grace of God, it can be done.:)

Love you,
Mommy

Could this be your future?

Hello anak,

When I saw this article about the best school in the US that is comparable to an Ivy League, I thought of you. Could this be your future? hehehe. At one point maybe Daddy is thinking along that line. hahaha. Me too. Hehehe But honestly, whatever or wherever your heart leads you, we will support you all the way. A business school would be possible too since you have been practicing to be a networker as early as now. You were already selling Forever Living’s Forever Kids to your playmates, telling them the benefits of this vitamins and to look at you as the proof! Hahahha! Way to go boy! We love you!

And oh, this could also be your future since you have always love golf ever since. Check out what Tiger Woods has done. Making another history. When your time comes, I would love to record all your “golf moments”. Meantime, let’s start looking for kiddie golf set - the real thing and check if the Makati Kiddie Golf course is still operational. I’m excited for you. hahaha! (Stage mom? hehehe)

Thank you Anak!

Dear Son,

Tonight, mommy came from Forever Living’s meeting with the new country managing director, Joel Milag. When I arrived home, I called ate A from the window and tried calling the cellphone which I left with you both, but to no avail. I even knocked on her room’s window a couple of times, but still no one is answering. I was already a bit worried because there were tiny drops of rain already and its really getting late. So I tried knocking on your room’s window thinking that Ate A is sleeping there. To my surprise and after many knock attempts calling Ata A’s name, I heard your voice saying “Mommy? Mommy?”. Then you did an amazing job as I instructed you to get out of your room and go to the sala and open the door for me. You followed even if you were half awake and half asleep. After opening the door for me, you had that cute smile as if telling me that “all is well now mommy, you are inside the house already”.

After few minutes, you went back to your room and continued sleeping. When i checked ate A’s room, there she is deep in dreamland hehehe.

I thank you son for a job well done tonight. I still can’t believe you did it, but you did! So what more can I say? You are simply amazing kid and I love you so much!!”

Much love,
Mommy

Learning how to draw, type and online games

Dear Anak,

Last July 18 (Saturday), you surprised me when you showed me your first ever drawing. You just showed it to me and said ” Mommy! Stop light!” wow! That’s a circle and a line connected to it. As if it was not enough, you draw another one which at first left me confused, but then you said ” Mommy, soft ball” Oh yeah, the oblong shape ball! Yehey!! Then, ate A taught you how to draw basket ball. So you learned that one too.:)

Now you are eager to draw airplanes (your all time favorite). I hope I will be able to take a picture of your drawings before you get to delete them hahahha…

And oh, you have also learned to play online games recently. The Cashflow for kids, SmartKid Rich Kid, and Thomas and Friends, Bob the bUilder and Rowee the Racing car.:) Of course there was Barney and Penguin on the sides. I’m amazed at how good you are in connecting puzzles of a train! Bravo!!

You also know how to type your name already. JJJJJJJJJ. That’s what you always do hahehheheheeh. :)

So what more surprises you have for us? We will watch out!

MEantime, enjoy childhood my dear…

Confuse with words

Dear Baby,

The other night, we were about to go to sleep when I thought of cleaning/deleting messages in my phone. When I finally did it, I sighed ” Haaay salamat nalinis na rin ang messages”. Then with a no-brainer look, you answered me ” Bakit mommy madumi ang mga messages?” hahahahah! Okay. I should have said that the cellphone is now free of messages. Funny kid!

Yesterday, I was out of the house and then you gave me a call informing me that I have to come home because you have running nose and cough. But Ate A said you have slight fever. So in my “panicky” mode, I hurried home forgetting my umbrella at the Cinema and my change from KFC hahaha.. Now I had to be back there and claimed those stuff. I’m still awed at how motherhood had changed me. Now I know why they said that once you are a mother, you would give up everything just to be home to an ailing kid. I’m glad that you are feeling better now. Thank you Lord!:)

And oh, you also called Daddy and “ordered” him to come home because you missed him already. You kept on asking him “Kelan ka mag uwi dito Daddy?”. I pitty dad because I know he wanted to be home with us but he has to find time and resources to do so hehehehe…

Okay, this is all for now. I will update this more soon! Mwah love you!!!

Our family vacation

Dear Anak,

We had our first family vacation last week and it was full of worthwhile memories. Unexpected conversations and surprises from you:

When we went to Chocolate Hills, you said ” Mommy , di ba dito nagpunta sila Little Einstein?”. I was thinking and laughed out loud when I realized that you thought we were at the Pyramids of Egypt! hahahah!!

While we were on the Loboc River Floating Restaurant, I warning you not to run around or else someone might arrest you. Then with full attention, you looked around the place and said ” Hindi man yan sila police mommy!” Hahahahah!

At the hotel, you played a lot that you had sweat all over your body. I decided to just roll some tissue and place it on your back since I can’t find your cloth diaper (lampin) or towel. When you saw the tissue I placed on your back, you exclaimed (as if complaining) : ” mommy, bakit yan ang ilagay mo sa likod ko, pang-ihi mo man yan?” Hahahahahha!

You enjoyed swimming at the beach and at the pool. Morning till evening, you don’t want to get out of the water anymore. I am looking forward to more trips with you and more memories to be shared with you. We love you dear.

Long time no letter

Dear Anak,

I’m sorry for not writing for sometime now. I have been preoccupied with so many things lately. Rest assured that I am learning to balance everything and I am definitely enjoying it.

Just this week, when you woke up from afternoon nap, you just approached me (seems like you were a sleep walker, but I know you are very much awake already hehehe) and said ” Stress ako Mommy!” Hahahaha. I wonder how a 3 year old be stressed after an afternoon nap and how did you know that thing called STRESS? Hhahahaha. I think you heard it from me and Dad but I didnt expect you’d react to it that way and too soon at that. Oh well, you learn so fast.

Then on to another funny thing today June 12 2009. We were just in the house, relaxing and learning Cash Flow for Kids, your favorite game. As I was bringing you to sleep after feeding, you were sharing a lot of stories. One of it was: “Mommy, magbili tayo ng belt sa Garfield dun sa MOA ha”. I said ok ok, but you didnt stop there. YOu had more ” Bago tayo punta MOA, daan muna tayo sa Burger Machine”. Now that made me panic. Hahaha. Because you are not supposed to love these kind of instant/fast foods. So I said ” Of course not, that’s bad food”. ANd with an as-a-matter-of-fact answer, you said ” Eh di ako na lang magkain, wag ka na magkain.” hahahaha.

Well, I want to tell you that I am proud of you and that I know it was just a joke. You always love to make surprises and you know how I’ve been guarding you against junk foods. One friend who tried giving you chocolates even told me that you didnt get the chocolate and told her ” Magagalit si Mommy”. Hhahaha. Keep up the good work, boy. I love you so much and thank you for all the love and happiness you’ve brought in the family.

Daddy’s turn

Dear Anak,

On May 8, 2009 (Friday), I did the laundry and you asked me what time is it. I asked daddy to teach you how to “read” the clock. I smiled as I heard daddy explaining the short hand (minute hand) and long hand’s function. Cute! What a blissful day! It was 10:40 am. Daddy assisted me in my laundry so we finished sooner than my regular wash day. Yehey!

On Saturday, May 9, 2009 we were scheduled for a family day with the whole officers and staff and their families. At the beach, you and daddy were so engrossed with the world that you both had created hahaha., Dad was pulling you while swimming. You were on top of your newly bought rubber boat (our gift for you on your birthday). KUlang na lang number sa likod ng life jacket mo at paddle, mukhang si 01 ka na talaga! HAHAHAHA! You were on the beach the whole day and I was so glad to see you and dad enjoying each other:)

Until the next family day… oh by the way, today is Monday and you just got sick since yesterday. Haaay.. Get well soon dear.

Love,
Mommy

Why they call it TAPS?

Dear Anak,

Last Friday evening (May 8, 2009) Daddy attended happy hour at FB and so we were left at home the whole day. After dinner, you played with your new wood train given by Mamu Rafi. Then when I checked the time, it was already past 9pm so we need to go to sleep. As always, before sleeping, you have a lot of stories to tell and questions to ask. JUst like after hearing the bell that signals TAPS (or sleeping time) for the camp, you just asked me:” Bakit TAPS ang tawag nila daddy dyan? Eh Torotot yan eh!” HAHAHAHAH! My sleepiness was gone when you asked that. And it seems that you were not satisfied with my laugh yet, when I told you I love you baby , you replied “I love you too Mommy. Ano yung too? Bakit too?” I said too means “also”. And you said , ” I love you three mommy” And we both laugh out loud.

Simple joys. Yet very memorable and worth keeping forever. Thanks for sharing these with me, dear. I love you three Heheheh!

Conversations

Dear Anak,

You have been answering phone calls recently and people who heard you are so amazed of how well you can get into a conversation. Even Daddy was shocked to hear you on the phone today. I miss you my dear. I have been busy getting myself back with FLP. In time, you will understand everything. For now, enjoy every moment of your childhood.:) I love you!

You’re a boy

Dear Anak,

Last night, you were already cranky and very sleepy. It was sleeping time — 9pm and I was still hooked with the new telenovela Only You plus the internet on the sides. When I finally turned off the PC and went out to be with you on the other room, I remembered I have to fill up Daddy’s docs which will be needed early morning today. When I told you about it, I was shocked with your response:

“Ay mommy naman, wag na yan gawin. Matulog na tayo”.

Haaaay… what else do you have to day? hehehe..

And oh, did I tell you that you have been calling me “mama” for the past days. When asked why a sudden changed from mommy to mama, you said “para matipid” Hahahahah!

Almost always, regardless of the question, as long as its WHY? you would answer “para matipid” hahahaha!

Love you son

The Sunset date

Dear Anak,

Wow, its been sometime since I haven’t sent you a letter. Last Maundy Thursday (for Catholics), April 9, 2009 Daddy gave us a call while you had your afternoon nap. When I told you about his call, you had a very brilliant smile –a glowing face to be exact. I know you are excited to see him, me too. When you woke up, we went to Nicel and KY at the Training area where you played the Indiana Jones rope with some kids (sons and daughter of Dad’s workmate). You were so excited and thrilled with the idea that you can fly while you hang on to that rope. Oh, you didn’t do it on your own yet, you were cuddled by either the Kuya or the Ate who played with you. Eitherway, your happiness was really onvious with matching wave of hands at me every now and then. I wish I can join you in that swing soon. I’ll have to wear my jogging pants for that. Hahahah!

After Ate and Kuyas left, we decided to explore the seawall. And bingo! There was that beautiful sunset from our vantage point. It was so lovely and so perfect while we seated at the top of those giant rocks beside the seawall. You even loved to hopped from one stone to the other. You made me nervous, huh! While there, we called Tatay whom we haven’t talk for weeks. He missed us, particularly you, so much! I realized that sunsets are gone too fast. I even thought of brining a watch the next time we go sunset viewing. We tried to take a peek at the sunset again yesterday (holy Friday — April 10, 2009) but we were already late and what was left for us to witness were its magnificent reflections. The pinkish effect of the sun’s reflection at the buildings on the opposite side were pretty nice. Today (meaning in a while because its already past 3pm as Im writing this), we will try to catch sunset again.

We also had some lessons yesterday: Waves, sea, birds, sky, rocks, and oh– Jellyfish! You are experiencing these first hand and you are learning really fast. Praise God! We also waited for some people to go ashore after they went on net fishing. Although they haven’t catch fishes that much, we did have fun watching them as they were shouting at each other for coordination so that fishes won’t go out of net. Hahahha. But definitely they had fun– and they already had a previous catch like half a pale of a container. Not bad for amateur fishers who just did it for fun and for dinner, I guess. Hehehe…

This sunset date discovery has been great for you and me and soon, with daddy. We won’t have to go so far just to experience nature and be with our inner selves at the same time. I have also been thinking hard if we can have our 7th year wedding anniversary here hahahaha… It definitely epitomes the sea, air and land concept I want to have. Not to mention it wouldn’t cost much (aside from the cleaning, decoration and installation of big tents! hehehe). Really, I’m serious I might propose this to Dad when he comes home. After all, we still have few years to prepare. Hahhaha!!

O sya, I’m waiting for you to wake up so we can walk to our sunset date again… I love you my dear!

Ako si Takore by Air Supply

March 9, 2009

We were at the living room when I hummed the visayan version of “I’m a little teapot”.

It goes like this..

Ako si Takore, gamay og dako. Kini ang gunitanan ug kini ang bubuan (i’m not sure of this last word hehhe. its been ages since I last sang this!)
Kung pabokalon, mokolo-kolo. Ihaon mo, ihaon mo ug ibubo.

I then asked our child ” Sinong kumanta nyan?”

His answer made us burst into laughter ” AIR SUPPLY!” Waaahhhhhhhh!!

Earlier that day, a song from the Air Supply was played from a neighbor’s radio. He asked me who sang that “Here I am” song. I said Air supply. What a sharp memory he had! hehehe…

A little later, he said “grrrr…” (imagine an irritated child). I forgot why he felt that way but when asked where he got that expression, I always remember what he said:

“Sa patience mo”, in a very straightforward yet innocent manner.

Hubby and I laughed again. After all, our child meant he got it from me. That’s how I would react when I would tell him that my patience is slowly flying out of the window everytime his tantrums are up. Oh well, children learn much from modelling indeed. ANother strong reason for me to control my emotions and STRETCCCCHED my patience to the nth power. After all, childhood only comes once and I better enjoy it while it last.:)

A different kind of aircon?

We were inside Dad’s room and I noticed that the aged aircon produces a different kind of sound. The conversation goes like this:

Me: Dad, ano ba yang aircon nyo. Parang trucktor ang tunog! heheheh. Ay ano nga tawag dun sa pang flat ng mga daan?

Dad: Ah, Pison! hehhe Oo nga.

Me: Hehehe..

Then our little angel interrupted with:

“Parang helicopter man yan mommy!”

HAHAHHAHA!! I think our little angel hears it better. WAAAAAHHHHH!!!!

Thought of you..

Dear Anak,

It’s been a loooong time since Dad and I had our massage. Atlas! Tonight we were able to have it at our favorite massage clinic. While there, I was thinking of you. The past days of our mother and son adventures made me realized how I love you so much and I am indeed blessed to have a child like you. Thank you for your unconditional love and tenderness. You keep me at pace with the life I really wanted– to be with Dad and you always.

I even told your dad how I love you and how I thought of you while having a massage. Sometimes I am considering of getting a househelp but then, I already enjoyed our privacy so much — just us — our family. I do welcome visitors from time to time but other than that, I prefer to be alone with dad and you.

It has been sometime since we studied your Flags of the World lessons and you did great, really. You could memorize more or less 20 flags and I wonder if you could have done more only if we studied it daily. Sorry for the backlogs. Babawi na lang ako uli. Always remember that you are so much loved by daddy and mommy and we are proud of you.

Thumbs up and salute to a wonder kid like you! And oh.. some milestones..

1.) Few days ago, when we forgot to pray before the car starts, you would remind us “pray muna tayo daddy!”. Thank you for learning and practicing my dear.

2.) Last night, you were able to sleep through the night without a pee in the morning! Yehey! Although you did pee on the beddings while lying on my stomach hehehhe. YOu said “mommy, ihi na ako” haaay… Bata ka nga talaga! hehehe

3.) I think we can live without diapers now. Hahahaha! That means diaper budget goes to your savings account! yipeee!!

4.) While Mamu U was counting her bills, I overheard you told her “Mamu, penge savings!” hahaha! And BINGO! Without a word, she gave you Php1,000 bill and said “Balik mo sa akin ang Php500 ha.” But since I only have Php300 bills, she took it. Hehehe. That means, you have another Php700 that will go to your savings! Ang galing mo maghanap ng capital, anak! waaaahhhhh

5.) Latest flags you know: Solomon Islands, Trinidad and Tobago and Congo! Let’s learn more so that when you can join Eat BUlaga’s contest for young boys, your talent would be identification of the flags of the world. HAHAHA!

6.) At Dad’s alma mater, you let him run after you at the B.Field. hehehee.. You enjoyed that place so much that you had a wide smile when we took a picture of you using the “shako” (tama ba spelling?:)) and beside two cadets who were part of the teleserye Tayong Dalawa. Speaking of this teleserye, I will write a separate post about it.:)

That’s all I can remember for now. Take care! Love you!

Biking with Daddy

February 27, 2009

Dear Anak,

Just for the record, around early evening of Feb 27, 2009 you had a biking date with daddy inside the compound. Daddy with his more than 10 year old but still durable mountain bike and you with your blue bike. What a view! I was overjoyed looking at you both. I hope you will have more time like that soon and hopefully, I’ll have the camera with me. hehehe…

I love you..

Laki!

Dear Anak,

Sorry for not writing for sometime. Very busy this holidays but you never fail to amaze me. Last night (Dec 27,2008) we had dinner at Ate Vicky’s place. I never intended to eat dinner actually but since they invited us and there are too many food on the table, we accepted it. We were just there waiting for our “minatamis na saging” to be done. Then, as we begun to eat it, we went outside where we seated at the bench and in a while, Bolax followed us with his platter of hipon and manok from Ate Vicky’s table. Bolax started his never ending anecdotes and this time shared about a classmate whom he introduced to his wife. The classmate mistakenly identified his wife as the woman whom the classmate met few years ago when they were still at school Hahahaha! As usual, his sense of humor never dies. hehehe.

As I was busy listening to him, I was also feeding you with our minatamis na saging. You were craving for the “sabaw” as you have said it. Hehe. Then, as I fed you with a portion of the saging, I was shocked because you never chewed it at all. You swallowed it straight, and then paused for a second and said “LAKI!” with that face that looks like a survivor from choking– but with a smile and “pasimple” na style. HAHAHHAH! When you grow up and read this, I will demonstrate how you did it and how you made us laugh out loud that I felt my stomach ache because of too much laughter. Heheheh

After dinner, we headed to the dining room where we saw Manager and his family. I cannot recognized Paul (his son) anymore as he has grown really BIG this time. He doesn’t look like a Grade 1 student really. Hehehhe. You both enjoyed each other playing hide and seek and from time to time, wrestling?? and shouting too! HAHAHHAA. I was amazed as how you get along well with each other. While you were playing with him, I was talking to Manager’s wife and we had a good chit-chat. You were interrupting from time to time which made her remarks ” Ang bibo mo talaga!”.

I am proud of you son. Thank you for making us happy and for giving others the joy that is in you. Indeed, GLORY TO THE CHRIST in You. Alleluiah!

Loving you always,
Mommy

PS First time kita nakitang napakadungis kanina… hehehhee.. Sayang di kita na picturan hehehe… You were playing with Kuya Mars kanina eh. Hehehe.

Learning more….

For the record, Nippon Maru (NM) made it to the province! Thank you Lord for a safe trip. Now NM needs change oil, engine wash and all the other stuff that is needed for it to be on great condition again. After all, the almost 500km ride was not a joke. :)

We had geography lesson for sometime now. My child wants to look at the flags of the world again and again. In fact, he already knew Japan and Bangladesh with its quite almost the same look, except for the color. He even included Palau in the list. And soon, Laos will be included too. He likes these flags with circle on it. He finds it easier to remember I guess. After all, he loves balls ever since. Maybe these flags looked like it has a ball on it that’s why he remembers.

I was so tired last night when he asked me to look for the card with the Bangladesh flag. Then as I was browsing the flipcards, I asked “Bahamas ba yung hahanapin ko?”. He answered “Hindi Bahamas mommy. BANG-LA-DESH!” As in with emphasis. Hahaha. I was awaken with what he did. :) Kids will really wake you up. In all aspects. Hahaha!

Enjoying our time more

Dear Anak,

As I have said in my previous post, I declared PEACE and it has come to pass. Goodbye wrinkles! hehehe.. Really, I just have to make it simpler for me and for you. I’m almost perfect with my schedules recently except for some urgent bookings. All is well now. You are also enjoying your toys and learning how to manipulate each one.

The past days, you are my helpmate in preparing the dining table. You are in charge of the place mat which you call “buy one take one” hahahah. You call it that way because dad once asked me if I bought it buy one take one. I said no, but only Php10 each! hahaha. And these are wooden place mats. Very timely for our “japanese” inspired home (kuno!hehehe). You love to place it on the table and keep it after eating. It has been your routine for the past days.

You also love to learn the Flags of the Worlds flip cards. You love to see different colors and shapes I guess. You even identified this morning that Japan and Bangladesh almost have the same flag except for its colors. Very good observation. I’m not sure if I already told you that you have also identified similar objects already with your touch and feel book. Yehey! Learning is fun!

Few days ago, we bought you your very first toy gun. It’s color blue and it has infrared and sounds. You just love it so much. I won’t wonder, anyway. Hehehe. We also visited Tito Chris and Tita Jing last weekend where you had a chance to visit a real Golf Course. You were excited to tell me where you have been (because only you, dad and tito christ went there) but I was already taking my nap when you arrived. But I did hear you with “mommy! Nanalo si Pacquaiao” statement before you had your “dede” Hehehe… Then when you woke up, you shared about your golf course visit. Now we know what to bring the next time we visit there: Your golf set! hahahah! I am also excited to see your first “palo” at the golf course using your toy golf set hehehe…

This afternoon, we went to tito don and tita Ana’s house where you played bike (so much!) and roam around the vicinity particularly at the area where there is a hump. Haay.. you always love to do extreme sports hehehe.. You did an amazing thing. After dinner, you grab a chair, faced Tricia and started story telling with her. Of course, what else would you tell but your favorite Monkey and Turtle story. hehehe. You were very serious and Tricia listens attentively too. She is a year older than you, huh! You just did a great job dear. I think I better tell you other stories so you can share it with her and Yohan the next time. You looked like a real story teller hahaha You even grab a book and pretended to read/sing the alphabet from it hahahaha..

So that’s our day! Bow. I am sorry for not writing as I am adjusting with our sched. Thank you for understanding and for loving mommy always. I love you so much son.

Another cellphone text entry

My dear Son,

Last November 19, 2008 you got my phone (again!), clicked on the keypads and you got this: Cabba3sikbe3defa

Hahahah I don’t know what is this but I just copied it for the record. At that same time, you also dialed daddy’s number and sent a blank message to him. When he checked his phone, he was surprised why I called and sent a blank message. I told him you did. Hahahah!

Einstein is correct! E=mc2

Few days ago, I bumped into this very interesting article from Yahoo about Einstein’s formula E=mc2. That it is after all correct! After more than 100 years of proving, physicist finally agreed that Einstein is Correct!

I am not much into science subject but I think this is a history that I need to post here. Someday, my son will have his own share of mind boggling physics problems and he would surely encounter this formula. :)

New hair cut & a day after that

Dear Anak,

After almost a year from your first haircut (December 25, 2007) , you had your second haircut last
November 17,2008(Monday) and unlike before, you were behaved now. Matured maybe? Hehehe. You were like a true gentleman — ever behaved and followed what the barber told you: Don’t moved or flip your head to the right or to the left if he says so.

You even started a conversation with the barber. And as usual, he was amazed with you. Who wouldn’t be? If a 26-year old barber is being entertained by a 2-year old customer? Hahahah! You told him we would watch Madacascar 2 after your hair cut –which I’m sorry to tell we were not able to do it because its already late in the afternoon and that means heavy traffic already. We would have moved it again yesterday (Tuesday) but didn’t pursue (AGAIN! sorry po!) because we have to monitor the repairs made in the apartment since no one else will do it because Dad is on a 3 day seminar-workshop.

Anyway, back to the haircut session, the only time you moved was when the shaver was on the lower part of the head (in bisaya, Tingkoy) when you were asked to flip down your head and you were tickled. Ahah! Kiliti pala dyan huh? hehehe..

The rest was okay. Oh I should tell you that I told the barber not to put too much powder on your neck and back because you are not used to it. Did you know that I only used baby powder twice maybe thrice when you were a baby? It was dad who discovered that when you had powder and you sweat after few hours, the smell is not good. So I gave your baby pressed and powder to Ate N instead. The pressed was slightly used, really. I think I used it once only. And the powder almost new. Good that I didn’t buy a bigger size powder then.

I called daddy while you were having your haircut session and he asked if I collected your hair after the cut. I said not anymore since the small brown (tickler size) envelope was almost full of your hair from the first haircut. Well, I just realized now that I should have kept your hair this time because its the first time that you had your haircut inside a military camp. The name is Blue Marline Barber Shop Fully Airconditioned. Hehehe. Just for the record. Who knows, it would still be there when you’re the one wearing a uniform already. Or will you? Let’s see…

As I am writing this, it is a fine sunny day. November 19, 2008 (Wednesday)– we woke up early and left daddy who is still having fever after suffering from LBM yesterday. I guess he was food poisoned. I am not just sure though. I hope he will feel better now. He requested that I cooked food for dinner but he was not able to eat it because he was so tired already and just sleep when he arrived.

We both headed to the bences under the Duhat Tree. This tree where I used to seat when I was still pregnant with you and when this tree was warmer because it was not yet trimmed. But it’s okay, atleast it stands still and the benches too, now its painted with green. Before it doesn’t have a paint — just the original color brown. From our point o view, we could see some men having their morning exercise. What a nice way to start our day. I told you to imitate them but
you said
” Ayoko. Ang dami nila”. Hehehe. Now you are shy. I thought you could perform an exercise to anyone which you usually does with the JO’s here. You would pushed up and do stretching and you would invite them to join you aHahahah!! I will write a separate post on that. Your adventures with KUya Argee and Kuya Jasper.:)

When the men left to run and swim, we went to the gangway and talked with Kuya Raymond. You said your goodmorning to him and he was happy to saw you smile. He said ” Ang ganda ng ngiti mo ah. Wag ka kumain ng candy para di masira ang ngipin ha”. Defintely! Definitely! We have taken care of your health and so with your teeth for more than 2 years now and we will continue to do so. This is healthy and happy living!

I went inside the room to get the laptop and booked someone who needs to fly today. Then, we saw some officers and ever Sir Dabong who gave you a new name. That is another story. I am excited to share it soon. Meantime, let’s enjoy the day! mWah!!!

Surprises.. Surprises…

When you are living a life with a pre toddler, you are always bound for surprises. Everyday, your little angel has something new for you.

Last MOnday (Nov 16), Daddy and I and the baby and Manong tubero went to the city to buy some stuff for the activation of the water system at home. (Wow! Iba ang feeling ng pagkasabi ko ng home ngayon. yes OUR home! hehehe.YEHEY! Thank you Lord!) Dad decided to parked near a dunkin donut store. I never knew it until I remembered we have to buy snacks for the workers at home. So I told my baby ” Ay naku, kelangan ko pala bumili ng snacks boy! Sa dunkin donuts na lang.”

Then, one of the shocking statement he ever said at his age (just 2 yrs old and 6 mos) ” May savings ka mommy? May five hundred ka?” HAHAHAH! With full emotions yun ha yung tipong serious talaga na nagtatanong kung may pambili ba ako! WWWAAAAAHHH!!! And his head flipping sidewards hahaha.

Well, I can’t blame him because we taught him that before he could buy things, he needs money so he needs to save. No wonder everytime there is an expense made, he would asked if there is an available savings Hahahaha!

In one way or another, he reminds us that we REALLY need to be serious with our savings scheme and that we have a little one who is watching us.:)

Back on track

It’s been an adjustment period the past weeks. Yet my dear child is fine with the new set-up. In fact, he is even at ease and enjoyed the vast area where he could run and play. I wish the beach is cleaner so we could go swimming too. But it’s alright. I’m not complaining. I am thankful, really.

This morning, he found out the box which contains his books and toys. As usual, he was more interested with the books and took it away from the box. He placed it on our bed and began flipping those pages again. I think he must have missed it for sometime. I am glad he still remembers the characters in it. These were animal books which I got on sale from SM. I just learned that pretoddlers books should be like these: hardbound pages (I’m not sure if that’s how you call it hehehhe). Basta it’s thick. Each page is thick and hard so it’s durable. There were many times he tried to tore away a page but failed because of its hardpaper materials.

IF you have been reading my blog for sometime, you noticed that I am writing letters to my son about how he was doing. Today, I am mixing my letter and my homeschool notes in one article. And speaking of homeschool, our lesson today involves the 4 books on animals. Yesterday we reviewed the 4 tiny books too which were also made of hardpaper. These things are really designed for toddlers I guess. It is more expensive than the usual children’s books but it is worth it. :)

So here is my letter to my little angel today:

Dear ANak,

You had a great day — although it started with a morning routine cry because I told you to stop “dede” hehehe.. I just realized when I checked the clock that it was indeed wake up time already because its 6am. Well, if you are in LUzon, the sun appears later so it’s still darker that time heheh. Anyway, I think I forgot to tell you that finally after 2 days of finding your missing slippers, we found it. Kuya Shaw saw it at the back of the kitchen. You must have left it there the other day when you went with me there. Speaking of going with me, you have been tagging along with me wherever I may go– especially when Im heading to the kitchen. Not because you wants to eat but I think its because of a new environment and new people you mingle with. SOmeone from them even taught you how to mop the floor and used the broom too. Hahhaha… He taught you yesterday and today when you saw the mop and broom, you got it and did the cleaning (as if you really know how to) hahaha…

Then after dinner, we headed to the other room to take a bath supposedly but you were not able to do it because you wanted to watch TV with me. I was never really an avid viewer of Betty Lafea but the TV was on so I just watched. Haaay.. this is the reason why I dont want a tv at home. Hehehe… After the show, I told you to take a bath but you said “Ay si Daddy lang magligo sa akin”. So we called Dad from the other room and when he brought you to the wash area, he laughed out loud as you complained with complete gestures “Ang baho dun mommy!!” hahahaha… We both laughed really. So dad decided to brought the container outside and you took a bath at the front of the barracks. WaaaahhhH!!! Cute! hehehe.

We headed to our room and read the animal books which you surely missed yet never forgotten. Good memory son! And before I forget, I would like to commend you for telling kuya Mars ” Bad food man yan!” after he offered ice cream to you. WaaaahhhH!! Way to go dear. Keep it up.:) Eating right will keep you healthy in body and in spirit:)

I am truly proud of you. Be a good boy always. We love you!

P.S. Last night, you were calling me “Maming” instead of Mommy. Our new terms of endearment hahaha.. I wonder where you got that word? Anyway, its sweet to hear because I know and you are really showing me that you intentionally did it to “pa-cute” to mommy hahahha.. I love you my dear.

Maming (heheheh)

Business minded too

DEar Anak,

How do you surprise me? Let me count the ways…

Just this morning (November 6, 2008), you were playing with your toys — bowling set, golf set, train and balls– when I heard you shouted as if selling “Baligya! Baligya!” (For sale! For sale!). As I turned my head, I saw you were approaching me and so I asked what are your products.

“Mommy baligya bowling set.”

“How much?”

“Tag dyes” (Ten each)

I laughed and said I will buy one. I get one bowling pin and placed it on my table. Then I acted like there was money on my palm and hand it to you ad said ” Bayad ko oh.”

You said ” Thank you”.

Then I continued with my work at the computer. You stayed there. Silent and waiting for my next move. Since I never said anything anymore, you picked up the golf set box where you placed all your “products” and turned it upside down and said ” Mommy oh ang dami, dyes lang yan”.

HAHAHAHAH! It’s as if telling me to buy everything because its all for TEN! Ahahahahah! Smart kid! Then since I just laughed and pat your shoulder, you picked all those stuff and said “Ligpit na kay isa lang man bili ni mommy”. Hahahaha…

Way to go son. Way to go. I am excited when you learn how to do your own financial statement and manage your own portfolios. Hahahaha..

Meantime, let us think of ways that you can develop your talent in marketing so your savings will grow bigger each day.

Keep up the good work my dear.I am proud of you!!

Love you much.

Nursery songs

Repetition is indeed the mother of learning. I never knew how much my child learns until he asked me to start singing those nursery songs while he sings with me.

“Mommy Baabaa Black sHeep beh”

Then I started singing and he followed. Medyo bulol nga lang hehehe

After that, he would request another song “A B C D mommy please”

And it goes on and on…

” I have two hands, the left and the right…..”

“Three blind mice… THree blind mice…”

I was particularly surprised that he could already almost memorize the “I have to hands” song. Thank you to the educational videos and nursery song videos!

Those nursery songs are like lullabyes before he goes to sleep at night.

He also found his pocket size hard bound and colored books which we bought during the book sale last month. I was surprised when I heard him recite the things he saw on the book such as Carrots, Corn, Apples and more…

THank you Lord for these developments!

Daddy look a like

Dear Anak,

It was dad’s work anniversary yesterday (Nov 5) and you were there wearing a fatigue shorts and olive drab shirt. Your socks were black but with blue shoes.Hehehe. You looked even smarter with your lousy cap that’s also olive drab. Cool really! And when everyone was shouting HOOYAH! You also shouted the loudest that you can. The people near us were so amazed, really. The food was sumptuous. Although your love for fruits never fades. Even if there were lechong baka, calderetang baka and pansit, you still consumed 3 bananas on top of it! hahahah…

It ended with a good night rest as the heavy rain poured. What a day.

Knowing our business

Dear Anak,

Yesterday, November 3, 2008 (almost 8pm), I was booking when you sit on my lap. You were watching me as I was doing my work then I exclaimed “Ang mahal naman ng mga available na fares”. Then you surprised me with “Walang promo Mommy?” WAAAHHHHH!! I laughed out loud with Tito Christian who was at the other side of the room. Hahaha.

You did a good job there. I wouldnt wonder if soon, you’ll know how to make a reservation too. :) Way to go dear!

Love,
Mommy

Talking with Dad

Dear Anak,

Thanks to cellphones’ call promos. We were able to talk with Dad longer and at a cheaper rate. Last night, October 29, when we were about to go to sleep, dad called. You grabbed the phone from me and started talking to your dad. Oh boy, you almost finished the 15-minute call should my phone’s battery didnt get empty. Dad was so happy and amazed with you.

You told him about your day — like watching nursery songs and singing “Lamok Lamok” instead of “The Monk The Monk” hahaha. Your all time favorite though was “How much is that dogie in the window”. Good that these songs were part of your jollibee educational CD. You are learning so fast and you surprised me everyday.

Just this morning, when Rogin installed the new light at the back of our room, you told him “Mahulog ka Rogin ha” when you saw him climbed up to the roof to put the wirings of the light. Haaay.. You are indeed amazing.

Honestly, I cannot remember all the things you told daddy last night because I was very sleepy and I was kind of Half awake, halk asleep hehehehe.. I was just holding the phone while its on speaker mode and put it near your mouth so you could talk to dad clearly. WE ended the night with you sleeping on my– where else? Belly. (growing belly at that. Huhuhuh. hehehehe)

I love you dear.

The Bible

My dear,

Last evening of October 27 (Monday), I decided to have family time with you after a long day and before working again till midnight because of the Cebu pacific promo. Anyway, I was shocked with what you did because as soon as I get inside our room, you picked up the bible (my bible) and gave it to me. You started flipping those pages and point at anything you feel and said ” Ito mommy basa”. I remembered the show “Ang dating doon” few years ago where they would yell “basa” to the actor who acts as the “reader” in that spoof show. Hehehe..

We read a couple of verses that night. I cannot remember everything but there was on passage where I read about obedience to the Lord and how He loves those who obey and love him. You asked “Love ako Jesus?”. Yes of course! You are His son my dear. We are. We ended the night with me giving you a back massage until we both fell asleep.

The next morning, 28th of October 2009, you woke me up early (again) and instead of resisting to wake up, I summoned to your pleadings. You surprised me again by bringing the bible to me and did what you did the night before. What a way to start our day indeed! That evening we were not able to read it again though because when I got home you were already in the dreamland. I went to see Tay Leo and Mommy Lor then after our coffee chat, I headed to Ate Tim’s house where I got to meet Tay Ernie, Nay JOy, Kuya Imman, MP and Aya. And of course, there was Faith (sis of Ate Tim) and her beloved. Oh I forgot his name. Hehehe. Was it Jeremiah? hehehe. I guess so. Forgive me dear. I am bad at remembering names sometimes. Hehehe…

Ate N told me that while waiting for me, you were having a monologue by acting as if you were talking to someone who asked you where your mom is. hahahah. You faced the window and said “Ah… wala pa si mommy?” hehehe. Great mental conditioning dear! Keep it up.

I love you so much …

You’re so sweet…

My dear ANAK,

Yesterday (Oct 23) around past 4pm, we were having merienda: Bananacue. I just bought it from the neighbor (Nang Nene) who sells binignit (ginataan) and bananacue every other day. You were still sleeping when I bought it and few minutes later, you were up.

Ate N sliced the bananacue into small pieces. It was a good finger food while you watched Baby Einstein for the nth time hehehe.. Then suddenly, in the middle of your viewing, you stood up, went to the kitchen. After that, you just approached me and hand me one stick of bananacue and said ” Kain ka na mommy oh”. Haaay… I just hugged you tight. Thank you my dear. Thank you for being so sweet. Saan ka pa nga ba magmamana? hehehe…

I love you son.

Busy busy bee…

My dear Child,

It’s been sometime since I wrote a letter to you. I have been so busy with the developments that are happening to our family recently. Business is doing great (HALLELUIAH! By the GRACE of GOD) and there are just too many things to do. Oh well, thankfully I still got a chance to do a movie marathon (Lord of the Rings) last night with Nang Carmie while she gave me a foot massage after she massage Ate N. I just told daddy that I would start collecting Tolkien’s books soon as I was really hooked up with the Lord of the rings.

I think I would love to read the whole series. My editor said it could last me a year to finished that together with other series of books she recommended. Hahaha.. I am telling you this so that you would learn to love books too — actually you do. In fact, you always look forward to our lessons. I am sorry if we have not been doing our lessons regularly because we really have to do a lot of things. I cannot write the details here but for sure when you would asked me later, I would be able to tell you what it is all about. And oh, I know I promised to buy you the Chronicles of Narnia book series. We will do that soon when our sched permits.

The past weeks we are back home, people who saw you thought that they saw a celebrity because to date, atleast 5 said you looked like PHILIP CESAR NADELA hahaha… Thanks for the compliments folks!

You were sick for 3 days because of teething. Thanks God you are okay now. Here is the video of Philip Nadela on the night where he won the title as the first little pinoy dream academy winner. And for the record, he is also on Friendster I will write more soon. Meanwhile, have fun with this video.

Happy Birthdate to you! Happy Anniversarydate to us!

Dear Anak,

Today, you just turned another month older. Two years and five months to be exact. And as we celebrate our “monthsary” with you, we indeed had fun except for my few tantrums because of some hormonal changes that I am undergoing.

I realized I have been tight with you nowadays. I am really sorry my dear. I didn’t mean to be “strict” but there are just times that our frequencies do not meet. I am just glad though that Daddy is there always and as we say to ourselves “complementing and supplementing” to each other, we are indeed practicing it when it comes to you.

We went to the church this morning and you were a bit cranky and wanted to take a nap while the sermon was on going. I tried to pacify you by telling you to wait until it’s over but you were really irritated. I think because it’s a bit humid and the fact that there were tiny falling debris from dried cement that stained the tent above us. Everytime it winds, some of those debris fall right on our hairs and some on our foreheads. And being an anticipator that you are, you covered your eyes as soon as you feel the wind coming and screamed “Mommy napuling (puwing) ako!”. I would like to laugh out loud knowing that you are just imagining, but I can’t do that because I was listening to the sermon while watching on you. So, I just have to rock you on my shoulder and tried to bring you to sleep, to no avail. Haaayyyy……

I promised to feed you after the sermon though. You agreed but only for a while. When you remember things, you get cranky again and cried. You just stopped it when you saw Sir Roy at the back of us who told you to keep quiet using a hand signal. I think you felt ashamed and eventually behaved and waited for the sermon to end. When it did, I immediately brought you inside the car and fed you there.

And you shouted ” mommy init!” as I didnt noticed that the car ’s leather seat was so hot. It was already 12 noon then and it has been parked for few hours already. I had to transfer you to the center seat where its not too hot. And we requested Daddy to buy something cold. He brought us 3 pieces of Ice Buko Drop which first I resisted as I was imagining the Magnolia mobile store hehehe. But lated I realized its been 10 years or more since I last tasted an Ice buko drop and the one that Dad got this morning was really really good huh! Thanks Dad!

Then we went to Market Market for our lunch and brought Cake at Goldilocks. It was Tito Chris’ 33rd birthday. That’s the only gift we could think of because we were in a hurry and we have to be back home since your Titas and Tito will use the car hehehe.. And oh by the way, for the record, we shop around a couple of stores before we got something that is a frog — which we put on top of the cake.

And oh, at Tito Chris’s house, you just made history again. You wear your first ever pull-up diaper courtesy of Ate Sky hehehe.. You also played barefoot outside — on a mini swamp that was formed after a heavy rain few hours ago.

So, that ended our day. We went home and you played for a while. Then you saw the two cups of Taho which was bought this morning by Mamu A. After Taho, you asked for rice and vegetebles. That’s your early dinner.

When you went upstairs, you asked for dede and I fed you again and you sleep already. Didnt I tell you that you are really cranky when you don’t get your afternoon nap? Oh well, now you know hehehe.:)

is part of this week’s Simple Pleasures’ Carnival of Homeschooling.

Great job, Dana! Thanks for taking time to organize and post our entries in your site.

If you are a homeschooler or planning to be one, you can take a peek at the Carnival too and hear stories from homeschoolers around the globe! It’s great to be a homeschooler indeed!

Now, you’re XL!

My Dear,

Last Saturday, September 27, you officially wear a new diaper size: XL! Oh its a positive indication that you are really growing BIG! Praise GOD!:)

You have a newly found statement to dad: “Uniform ka dad? Office ka?” hahahah! Ang cute mo my dear..:)

This morning you joined me as I had my laundry. And as usual, you want to get wet. But before that, you were monitoring the white kittens that were transferred by their mother from the roof. You were even talking to the kittens and role played. You told me: “Mommy sabi ng cat, hello!” Hahahaha! Ok what else did the kittens told you?

You got excited with your signature face and actions ” tapos.. tapos..” (as if you’re breath is taken away) then you giggled! ehehehhe…

So, that’s it for now.:) Oh by teh way, Ate Lisa told me that you went to their house and when her brother was cooking eggplant, and ate Lisa told you that you both are leaving, you told her ” Kain muna ako talong!” hahahaha! HOw you loved vegetables indeed!:) Keep it up dear!

I love you so much

Patience is a virtue I have to live by…

Anak,

I’m sorry if I run out of patience today. I have been doing my best to “discipline without spanking or shouting” (that’s the book title I got from the book sale at MOA), yet, today, I run out of it. I slept late last night thinking on our finances. Not that we are on crisis but I just want to be financially free soon so that I don’t have to work at home instead just play and do homeschool with you. But as long as we are still building our investments, I have to work from time to time and therefore stop from our bonding and learning sessions.

Last night, you were crying for an hour or so because you want me to feed you for the nth time already. I usually feed you from time to time if you are sick but since you are already fine yesterday, I opted to go back to schedule and so, stopped feeding you late at night. But you were persistent as ever. And I was firm on my words too. So, there we go. You went to bed without getting what you want and I was left thinking how I can help daddy increase our financial status.

When you woke up this morning, you asked me to wake up with you. I said (in my irritated voice) I can’t because I was still groggy after sleeping late last night. You were persistent (as always) and I was forced to get up since Mamu and Ate L are leaving for the market and I remembered I have to book someone. Oh well. You won this time. But more “struggles” happened. You interrupted my work and I was pissed off. So, I decided we go to the bank and the market to buy buko juice and puto (your favorites). When we were back home, its as if nothing happened. IN fact, we played a lot after our afternoon nap. We had “tuya baki” and “hulog sa motor” games where you want me to ride on the pillow with you and when you said “hulog ang motor”, I have to fall with you hahahaha. We were playing on the bed. :)

I suddenly realized that if I would be given the chance to just play and tell stories and teach you numbers and colors, I would still chose to do it endlessly. But see? For now, I have to work in between our playtimes and learning time.

THat’s why I want to be financially free so that the next time we both play and learn, the sky is the limit!

I love you my dear. I really do. Mwah!

Mommy

P.S OUr lesson for today was about colors. We used the Water Color Pencil of Tita Pat. WE draw airplanes and made paper airplane too. Your love for it never fades. Although your golf things is still there. When can we play at a golf club dad? heheheh
